I need to figure out a way to get around to the lock or whatever is on the scepter 8 tablet that makes it to where you can't enable or disable the display or draw over other screens because I wanted to play those games where you can you know earn points or whatever and unfortunately that is one of the main permissions that you need to Grant to actually earn the points

Android version 11 and to give you as much info as I can it is the free tablet that the government was handing out when you sign up for the q Link wireless service and there is some type of app on here or something that blocks you from being able to access that permission on this device when you go into the settings and find the display or draw over other apps when you click on it it says "feature not available" in bold writing and then underneath that it says "this feature has been turned off because it slows down your device" well actually it says phone not device but it's a tablet so that's why I said device.

And thank you for welcoming me to Android Central I'm very glad that I found this website and decided to give it a try because so far any other website that I've posted this question on there's been no replies and that was like 3 days ago and I did the other ones and then yesterday I decided to try some other ones and you're the only person that is been nice enough to actually reply and take time out of their day so thank you even if you're not able to help me figure this out I appreciate you taking the time out to try and if you do help me figure out a way to resolve this you're officially my hero LOL

If you're seeing that message from the system, then it's likely a firmware-level modification that you can't change. If you can't do it in the menu mustang7757 described, then you're probably stuck. The only solution I can think of would be to flash the device with a custom ROM, but (a) that's not something I would recommend if you don't have any experience with it, and (b) it's unlikely that anyone has designed a custom ROM for that device anyway, considering how uncommon it is.
I also wonder if this is Android 11 Go. Android Go is a more lightweight version of Android used on more underpowered devices, and it doesn't have as many features: https://support.google.com/android/t...-edition?hl=en

Hey yes it is the android 11 GO version so I'm guessing I'm basically screwed and can't really do anything about it so I have another question then that has to do with this what if I was to jailbreak it will that change anything and enable me to change the settings that are disabled or locked? Specifically the one we've been talking about is my main concern

"Jailbreaking" is an iPhone term. For Android, the term is "rooting." Not all devices can be rooted, and even if you can do it, I'm not sure if that would help. A better resource for this kind of thing would be the forums at XDA-Developers.com, but again, if you're a novice, I wouldn't recommend it.

Welcome to the forums. As discussed above, it sounds like this is a firmware level issue. In other words, the manufacturer has disabled certain features like this and there is no way to turn it on. While I understand the desire for these government issued devices, they are meant to be nothing more than a bare bones device to get people by with basic functionality. If you want a half decent tablet with full functionality, you're going to have to buy one.
